She tends to wear muggle clothing, preferring jeans to the school uniform, though at the same time she doesn't like to break the rules and will wear the uniform unless it is a free dress day. On the weekends, when she doesn't feel like taking a trip to Hogsmeade, she can be found dressed in her comfiest pj's with a book in the common room. She doesn't have a problem with any of her appearance, and is quite comfortable in her skin.

Overall Personality:
Lily is one of the sweetest, most pure people one could ever meet. Once she's your friend, she's your friend for life, and don't you dare give her a reason not to be. As a muggle-born, she has expectations on her to be less than others, and she does her very best to disprove those assumptions. She works hard at her studies, and enjoys learning everything she can about magic...so much so, she is one of the top in her class.
Appointed as a prefect in her 5th year, Lily is a very strict follower of the rules. She has no qualms against assigning a detention to rule-breakers when she finds them. Lily is what some might call a 'goody-two-shoes' or something of the like, though unlike the name sounds, that is not a bad thing. She's sweet, kind, and truly cares about everyone she touches. She's the one that stays up late listen to you to talk about your problems, and help you solve them, and if they can't be solved, she'll at least listen, and provide the shoulder to cry on.

Overall History:
Born on January 30th, 1960, Lily Jane Evans was the younger sister to Petunia, the second child and daughter to James and Emily Evans. She had a perfectly normal, muggle childhood, with a loving family, and a special bond with her older sister 'Tuney'. That was, until she began to show signs of extraordinary power. While playing at a park one day, Lily showed her sister a trick she had figured out she could do. She swung as high as she could on the swing set and jumped off, but instead of falling fast and injuring herself, she floated gracefully down to the ground. It was beautiful magic, but Petunia disagreed, calling her a freak and running away. That was when Lily met the strangest and most wonderful boy named Severus Snape. The two nine-year-olds became fast friends, and Severus taught her everything he knew about magic and the wizarding world.
Just over a year after meeting Severus Snape, the pair were invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and this further severed any relation Lily had with her older sister Petunia, as Petunia was not allowed to go. Jealousy raged inside her older sister's body, and forced the two apart, it nearly broke Lily's heart. Upon arrival at Hogwarts, Lily was sorted into Gryffindor, and to their mutual dismay, Severus was sorted into the opposite house of Slytherin. However, they defied the house stereotypes and remained good friends.
Through her years at Hogwarts, Lily had many encounters with fellow Gryffindors; James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and their tag-along Peter Pettigrew. James and Sirius seemed the leaders of the pack and they constantly bullied her best friend Severus Snape, leading her to dislike the pair. Remus, however, became her fellow prefect in their fifth year, and she grew to enjoy working with him, seeing him as a kind-hearted soul, who wasn't as horrid as his friends. Also in her fifth year, Lily cut ties with Severus Snape after he lashed out at her in his embarrassment from her standing up for him, calling her a mudblood. It pained her deeply to have to cut him from her life, but she could no longer be close to him if he was to continue his pursuit of the dark arts and the Death Eaters. She hopes one day that he will come to his senses, but until then she cannot be near him. He will always have a special place in her heart, a place that aches without him, but hurts worse with him.
Now in her sixth year, Lily is focusing hard on her studies, and doing her best to stay away from Severus Snape. She's having difficulty however, not having her best friend to talk to anymore about her problems at home with her sister or anything of the like. No one to complain to. Yet she does what she always has in keeping a smile on her face, and a friendly air about her, always putting others before herself, and doing whatever she can to make the lives of those she cares about pleasant.

As the clock tower finished chiming, signaling that it was now ten in the evening and time for Lily to start her rounds, she closed her charms book and stretched. Lily loved walking the halls at night, it was especially helpful when she needed to clear her head. She tossed on a sweater, and tucked her wand in her back pocket, slipping out of the common room with ease. The Fat Lady awoke when she exited the common room, at first snapping angrily at whoever was trying to slip out after hours. "Don't you know you're to be in bed by nine?! I can tell the Headmaster you...oh! Oh it's you dear! I'm so terribly sorry." Lily smiled. "Don't think anything of it." She assured the portrait. "It's nice to know my job is easier with you standing guard. Goodnight."
She turned and began walking the halls. Another great thing about the night duty, was that she got to wear whatever she liked, which usually meant the comfiest of pajama pants and a plain t-shirt and sweater. After all, she was headed straight to bed after her rounds, and for the most part, she never ran into anyone. Lily walked almost in a trance, making her way along her usual assigned route, checking every specified room, but she was lost in her thoughts.
She was thinking about a letter she had received from her sister. The letter was surprising, to begin with, she rarely received anything from her sister. Not a word. She hardly saw her over the summer, and when she did, the encounters were never pleasant. This letter, however, reminded her of the days when she was young, before she even knew she could perform magic. Back when the two sisters were the best of friends. Petunia raved about this new boy she had met, Vernon Dursley, and how handsome he was, and strong. How he was a perfect gentleman, and how he was going to have a good paying job once he got out of school, and oh how wonderful would it be if they ended up getting married, which she was sure they would. Lily couldn't help but smile, glad to read of her sister's happiness, and hopeful that maybe this meant that they could return to good terms again. That was, until she had read what followed her sister's gushing. Attacks on the magic again. She wrote of how Vernon was a no-nonsense guy, and how anything out of the ordinary was simply not tolerated. She wrote of how she hoped he never met Lily because she was a disgrace, and he might not be wanting to stay with Petunia if he knew she had that for a sister. She attacked so harshly with her words, that by the end of it Lily was a wreck of tears. What was worse, she didn't have anyone to run to. In the beginning of the letter she was hopeful that she might finally have a sister again, someone she could run to with her problems, maybe even run to her about Severus and how she's having a hard time coping without him in her life, but by the end of the letter she was left alone again.
Before she knew it, Lily was finished with her rounds, though the felt like they had ended too soon. She entered the common room quietly, and laid down on the couch in front of the fireplace. The letter from her sister was tucked in her charms book, and she set her wand next to the book, curling up on the couch, and pulling a blanket over herself. She bit her lip, staring into the flames, and shut her eyes tight to fight back the tears, but before any could escape, her eyes relaxed and she drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
