Birth Certificate
Name: Elizabeth "Lizzy" Catherine Larkspur
Birthdate: November 14, 1959
Age: 15
Year: Fifth
Job: Student
Blood: half
At First Glance
Hair color: Blonde
Eye color: Pale blue
Height: 5'4"
Distinguishing features: Wavy blonde hair, very pale blue eyes, pale skin
Desired Play-By: Emilie de Ravin
Description: Lizzy doesn’t play with her appearance too much. Her wavy hair comes naturally and she lets it just hang generally. The only makeup she wears is a little mascara if that. It must be quite the occasion if more is worn. What people generally notice are her pale blue eyes. Because of the lightness of them, they match her very blonde hair and fair skin. Her clothing is very modest because she doesn’t like to show a lot of skin off.
Tell Me More
Likes: Books, library, daydreaming, curling up by the fire, writing, music, singing, quiet, ice cream, flowers, exploring, romance, boys, magic, school, charms, Quidditch, snow, winter
Dislikes: Fighting, show offs, obnoxious people, cliques, heat, summer, vegetables, crowds, potions, rats, spiders,
Habits/Quirks: Bites her nails whenever she’s nervous or bored or when she is studying for an exam; becomes lost in her head imagining stories; runs her fingers through her hair nervously
Strengths: Intelligent, reserved, loyal
Weaknesses: Awkward in conversations with strangers, impatient, off in her own world at times
Overall Personality: Lizzy is a very reserved girl. She blends in with the background most times because she is bad at making friends. It’s not that she doesn’t have any, but it takes her a while to make them. Once she’s friends with them, she is the best friend a guy or gal can have, but getting there is the problem. Lizzy would rather snuggle up by the fire reading a romance novel than at a party with tons of people.
She also likes to daydream and imagine a world of her own because she dreams of romance. Because she dreams about this world in her head, she doesn’t realize what is going on in reality and loses track of conversations. This doesn’t impede with her studies though. She is focused on her studies because she likes to learn and she wants a good life after Hogwarts. Her favorite subject is Charms because of all the interesting magic learned in there. It isn’t a surprise to find Lizzy in the library reading her textbook or a thrilling romance novel if she has the time.
Bring It Home
Father: Nembus Larkspur
Mother: Emily Larkspur (previously Greene)
Siblings: none
Other Important People: William Fitzpatrick
Overall History: Elizabeth grew up in Crawley, England, which is a bit south of London. Both of her parents are wizards, but her mother is a muggleborn so Lizzy’s relatives on her mother’s side are muggles. Her father, Nembus, works for the ministry in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Her mother, Emily, was always the stay-at-home mother, which Lizzy enjoyed. It allowed a deep relationship to form between mother and daughter. She also learned a lot about the muggle world through her mother because Emily’s family are all muggles.
Lizzy grew up in a quiet neighborhood with mainly muggles on the street. She became friends with some of the muggle kids on her street. Her best friend was her neighbor, William Fitzpatrick. They were as thick as thieves growing up, but when Lizzy became 11 she received her letter to attend Hogwarts. All she could tell Will was that she was going off to boarding school without an address for him to write to her at. As Lizzy grew more and more tied to the wizarding world, her relationship with William began to fall apart. He would write to her and give the letters to Mrs. Larkspur to send to Lizzy, but eventually the relationship became only a courteous hello when she returned home during the holidays.
The first time Lizzy saw Hogwarts, she was in love. Her parents told her stories of Hogwarts and the majestic castle, but Lizzy could only dream about the place. She loved the fantastic library full of books upon books of stories and magical knowledge, the castle itself where she could explore the twists and turns leading to ideas for her daydreaming adventures, and the classes where Lizzy was able to learn everything her parents told her of. It was hard for Lizzy to make friends because she likes to keep to herself, but Hogwarts had so many things for her to do that she wasn’t pressured into making friends. Sure, some came about, but it was on their own timing.
Show Off
[at least 3 paragraphs of roleplay in character]
Lizzy sat in a cozy corner of the library curled up in a chair reading her copy of her Potions book for she knew Professor Slughorn would be assigning an essay in the coming week, and Lizzy had to read the material first. She glanced up and saw a couple holding hands across the library. She thought the two of them looked adorable together. Where was the man she was waiting for? It always slightly irritated her whenever she saw a romantic couple. Boys never noticed her or at least not in that way. Actually, not many people noticed her at all, and when they did typically they needed help on an assignment or she was blocking the book they required and needed her to move.
In her heart she knew the things she said weren’t all true. There was a boy who noticed her, but they weren’t on good terms anymore. He liked her when she was ten, and she didn’t say a word about it to him because Lizzy knew back then they wouldn’t be together forever. “Oh William,” she whispered to herself, “Why did I let our friendship fall apart?” Lost in her memories of the boy she once knew, she stared out the window.
It wasn’t until someone asked “Do you mind if I sit here?” did Lizzy stir from her memories. Lizzy hadn’t seen this Slytherin boy before. He looked like her age, but she couldn’t claim to know many people who were her age. He grasped his own Potions book in his hands and asked again, “Do you mind if I sit here?” motioning to the empty chair that sat next to her own chair. Lizzy motioned for him to sit as she regained focus on her Potions reading.
