Description: Skyler stands at approximately 5'7", even taller when she adds the three to four inch heels she tends to wear. She has a slender figure, almost too slender to be healthy. She is a striking beauty. With long black-brown hair that is silky smooth, falling in waves past her shoulders. Her eyes are an intense blue-green, and deep like the ocean. Her lips are full and pale pink in color. Her skin a pale porcelain. She has a long, but thin nose, and her eyebrows are sharp thin lines, perfectly accentuating her face.
As far as clothing style goes, Skyler tends to wear a lot of dark colors. She likes high heels, and jeans. Her best feature is her face, and she doesn't care much about what clothing she wears with it. She'll dress up every so often, but her usual outfit to be caught in is a pair of high heeled boots, long dark jeans, and a blouse of some sort on top. Causal, but clean and sophisticated.

Overall Personality: Though Skyler is a strong, independent young woman, she doesn't wish to be. She hates being alone, even if she's good at it. She works well by herself, she can take care of herself and survive on her own, but he hates the twinges of loneliness that course through her body every day. She prefers living in the muggle realm, away from the horrors that torment her in the wizarding world. Away from the memory of her mother's death, and of viewing her mother's memories. She still lives in her mother's house, but she works mainly in the muggle world.
Skyler tends to keep to herself. When she was younger she would make fast friends, and she was a very happy young girl until her mother grew sick. Her mother's illness and death greatly changed her. She became an entirely different person. Quiet, reserved, and darker. The happy young girl disappeared. She had to take care of herself and her life all alone. She had one friend that was there for her for a while, and then even he disappeared.
After finishing her schooling at Hogwarts, Skyler disappeared from the wizarding world. She found jobs in muggle shops, and worked several different jobs off and on just to keep busy. She attended a muggle community college, but dropped out as soon as she had begun. She's still working to find her place in the world.
[Don't hate me, but this song is too perfect a description of her, so think of this in her perspective, directed towards Benjamin.]
Never wanted to feel, Never wanted you to steal my heart.
Never wanted to know, Never wanted to show I'm weak.
I'm falling all over myself, Trying to be someone else,
I wish you would dare to walk me home, So I wouldn't have to feel alone.
Always wanted to be, Always wanted you to see my heart.
Always wanted your love, Always wanted but never was.
I'm falling all over myself, Trying to be someone else,
I wish you would dare to walk me home, So I wouldn't have to feel alone.
I'm falling all over myself, Dying to be someone else,
I wish you would dare to walk me home, I don't want to fight the world alone.
Never told you before, Never loved you more.
I'm falling all over myself, Trying to be someone else,
I wish you would dare to walk me home, So I wouldn't have to feel alone,
I'm falling all over myself, Dying to be someone else,
I wish you would dare to walk me home, I don't want to fight the world alone.
I don't want to fight the world alone.
I don't want to fight the world alone.

Overall History:
The history of how Skyler came to life is not a happy one. Nor is it one that her mother, Cora, ever wanted to share with her. Though when her mother passed away, when Sky was only 17, she left all her memories, even the ones she wished to suppress, in Skyler's possession. To share the entire event would be far to dark a task, so a summary must suffice. Coralynn was a young muggle-born witch who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, mixed up with the wrong people. Long story short, Skyler's father was never in the picture, and Skyler herself was the product of a terrible act. Cora, however emotionally and physically scarred from the event, chose to keep the child. She raised Skyler on her own, never telling her the truth about her father.
Skyler became the light in Cora's life, always bringing a smile to her face. She was glad when she found that Sky didn't look a thing like the man that created her. She looked like Cora in almost every way. Cora brought Skyler up in a half muggle, half magical house. She sent her to a muggle school, but she also taught her things about the magical world. Yet she never brought Skyler to any place of the wizarding world until she had to. Until Skyler received her Hogwarts acceptance letter at the age of eleven.
When Cora had attended Hogwarts she had been sorted into the house of Hufflepuff. She was a very timid, shy girl, but very kind and loyal. She felt right at home with the Hufflepuffs, as home as she could feel. For she never felt she really belonged in the world of magic. She always felt that she was there by mistake, but she did her best to fit in where she could.
When Skyler boarded the train to Hogwarts she was both excited and nervous. She found other young witches and wizards who were raised in the muggle world and connected with them. She met a few older students who were half-bloods as was she. They talked all about the school and the classes, and by the end of the train ride, she'd figured she'd made a few friends.
The sorting ceremony was a nervous event, as she'd heard it always was. When her name was called, she walked confidently to the stage, head held high, and sat on the rickety stool. The sorting hat was placed upon her head and she could hear it thinking, sorting through her thoughts, her memories, her personality. It was frightening. She felt naked in front of the crowd, though she knew only she could hear what it was thinking. It evaluated her for every house possible, and then started looking into her blood, her heritage. Somehow, it figured out who her father was, what her blood carried, and after what felt like forever it shouted the one word she never thought she would hear; "SLYTHERIN!".
Shocked straight to the core, Skyler took a deep breath and made her way to the Slytherin table where she sat among mainly pureblood students. She didn't feel at home as her mother had in Hufflepuff. She didn't feel welcome. She felt...alone. She watched, tormented, as the friends she met on the train were sorted into all three of the other houses. She felt like running out of the great hall doors and never coming back, but she took another deep breath and let it all sink in. She was a Slytherin and she was put here for a reason, nothing could change that.
A few months into her schooling, Skyler had gotten used to her house and even made a few friends within it. Her mother, did not approve. She felt it was a bad place for her to be, that it brought out the dark side in Skyler that she never wanted to see. A side like her father's.
Skyler worked hard at her schooling, though the darkness brewing inside her kept growing. She paid close attention to Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions, and enjoyed learning all about the different classes in the world. About the pureblood beliefs against muggle-borns, and about The Dark Lord. It intrigued her, yet also frightened her.
When her mother took ill, Skyler was 16. She was stricken with an illness that even the healers at St. Mungo's could not treat. Cora fought hard to stay for Skyler, but each day grew more and more difficult. She began collecting her memories. Each night she would work hard, collecting memories until it wore her out. Sometimes she would gather ten, others only one. She worked on settling a will, leaving everything to Skyler. Three days after Skyler turned 17, her mother couldn't hold on any longer, and she passed quietly in the night. Skyler had just tucked her in to bed, told her she loved her, and that she'd see her in the morning with the normal cup of tea. Cora fell asleep with a smile on her face, and when Skyler awoke the next morning, and brewed the pot of tea, she felt an ache in her heart. She couldn't understand what it was until she crept towards her mother's room. The cup of tea shook in her unsteady hand as she pushed the door open. Her mother's eyes were closed, and the hint of a smile was still on her face, but her chest wasn't rising or falling. She was gone. The cup shattered on the wood floor as Skyler screamed in agony running and flinging herself on her mother's body. She sobbed uncontrollably for hours until she could sob no more. Then she wiped her eyes, kissed her mother's forehead, and contacted the healers at St. Mungo's to take her mother's body away.
She found all her mother's memories, and her mother's will that left her entitled to the house and all of her mother's money the next day, but she was too weak to do anything. Letters began to pile up on the kitchen table. Letters from friends at school wondering if she would return, she'd left in the middle of her 6th year after all. Five months after her mother's death, the summer started for the students at school. To her surprise one morning, a knock sounded at her front door. It was one of the half-blood boys she had met on the train before her first year. He had known her mother was sick, and since none of his 117 letters had been answered, he'd figured he might as well come check up on her. He was a year older than her, and a Hufflepuff, he had just graduated from Hogwarts and planned to spend his summer job searching and finding his place in the world. His name was Benjamin, and even through all of the darkness Skyler had gone through the past six years, he had remained a loyal friend. But he had never seen her cry.
He stayed with her through the next month, helping to restore her to her normal self. He watched her mother's memories with her, helping her learn her past. He kept her sane. Once she was back to her normal functioning self, he left. He told her that he would always be there to help her, but that she had to figure out who she was on her own before he could come back into her life. He was right, as much as she hated to admit it.
Skyler finished her 6th year through correspondence with teachers over the rest of the summer, and returned to Hogwarts the next year for her 7th year. Though she was never the same. She knew her past. She knew who her father was, or at least what he was. And she was completely alone. No family left, no friends at the school. She remains isolated.

It had been five months, but it only felt like five hours. Skyler had not left the house since she'd found her mother dead in her bed. She'd occasionally order food, but for the most part she either didn't eat, or nibbled on a piece of bread with tea. She'd grown thinner, weaker, and lacking sleep she looked darker. Out of routine, she'd still kept up her hygiene, showering every morning, brushing her teeth, sometimes she'd braid her hair, but for the most part, she'd just let it fall in the scraggly waves it wanted to. It vaguely occurred to her one morning that Hogwarts would now be enjoying its summer vacation, and one of the letters on the kitchen table would be concerning her not finishing her sixth year classes. She sat on the stairs, trying to get the energy to open one of the hundreds of letters that were sitting on the kitchen table when she heard a knock at the door.
She couldn't move. She didn't want to know who was behind the door. But the knocking persisted. It got louder, and suddenly a voice was screaming behind it. "Skyler! Open the bloody door, I know you're in there!" It was Benjamin. She was sure at least 100 of the letters on the table were from him. She'd seen them arrive. She was scared to open the door, but she knew he wasn't angry. He was concerned. He must have figured by now that her mother hadn't made it, and that Skyler must be in pain. It took he a while to force herself to open the door, and when she did it was with her wand.
She was still sitting on the steps opposite it and he had been banging on the door for a good 15 minutes before she finally lifted her arm and flicked her wand opening the door and allowing him in. Her hair was a tangled mess, her eyes a bit bloodshot red, and she was dressed in shorts and a male's t-shirt that was now three sizes too large for her, that he suspected actually belonged to him, and it did. It took a minute for him to let the image of her really sink in before he closed the door behind him and opened his arms. She shook her head, too tired to walk. He gave her a stern look, that was hard to put on with how much he wanted to run to her, and said "Skyler Elise Watson, you get over here right now or I'm going to have to come over there and tickle you." and though all she felt like doing was crying, she couldn't help but allow a hint of a smile. It was enough to make her stand up and run towards him. She jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist. He held her close to him and ran her fingers through her hair.
He carried her to her bedroom and sat her down on the bed, sitting down beside her. He took the brush that was sitting on her bedside table and silently began brushing out the tangles in her hair. Tears were falling down her face and by the time he'd finished brushing she turned and buried her face in his chest. He rocked her for a while, calming her down, and she fell asleep in his arms. He tucked her into bed and left her a note, so that when she awoke, she knew he hadn't left her completely.
The note was useless for when he returned from his shopping excursion, she was still asleep. He set a pot of tea to boil and when it had finished, brought it up to her, along with a bowl of fresh fruit. They carried on in silence for the rest of the day, and the next week following. He would bring her food, brush her hair, and hold her until she fell asleep, and finally one morning she uttered the smallest of words. "Thank you."
