It was that time of year again…back to school. Alecto wasn’t really looking forward to it; in fact, it was rare she ever looked forward to going back to school. School was regulated magic, home was not. At home she could experiment with Amycus all she wanted, since they had magical parents and the magic they used, even though they were underage, could not be traced back to them in a magical household. At school, she had to go by the book, do what other people told her, and she didn’t like people. In fact, she despised people. She viewed other human beings as experiments. Playthings. Victims. The only human being she cared about was Amycus. She loved him more than she loved herself. She would lay down her life for him. Her love was almost obsessive. No, not almost, it most certainly was obsessive. Sure, they were twins, but their bond was closer than most, seemingly inappropriately so to observers, but as previously mentioned, Alecto didn’t care about others. So what did it matter what the world thought?
Alecto loved the fact that the boys’ dormitories weren’t locked off to girls. It was the first night back at school, and she was NOT going to sleep alone. Dressed in a skimpy green and black lace nightgown, Alecto marched into Amycus’ dorm and with a steely glare, informed all his dorm-mates that they would be sleeping in the common room tonight unless they wanted to become her next voodoo doll. They scurried out pretty quickly. Alecto had created a reputation for herself early on in her years at Hogwarts, and Amycus’ dorm-mates especially knew to fear her. Once all the other boys had left, Alecto made her way over to Amycus’ bed. He wasn’t in it yet, and she didn’t know where he was, but she was quite sure he’d be back any minute. She could just imagine him passing by his dorm-mates on the stairs and seeing their frightened faces, a dead giveaway of his twin sister’s presence. She smiled and lay down on his bed on her back; her head resting gently on his pillow, her knees up with her feet firmly on the mattress, her arms draping themselves behind her head. Waiting.

As much as Alecto hated Hogwarts, Amycus loved it. Not for the contrite reasons of their classmates, no, but for its power. Everywhere in Hogwarts there was ancient magic, etched into every stone and window. There were rules here, but rules were almost thrilling. There was no challenge at home in acquiring a victim. Alecto could lure as many village boys as she wanted into the shed and he could do whatever he pleased without fear of repercussion. And, while enjoyable, it wasn't nearly as satisfying as work at Hogwarts.
There was a joy in victimising under the noses of the righteous. There was something wonderful about seducing a little Hufflepuff fourth year, convincing her to follow him into secret rooms, and breaking every bone in her hand without getting caught. The challenge in working here in these hallowed halls was too much to resist. The chance of exposure couldn't stop him. The magic in the walls, mighty and ancient, couldn't stop him. The Headmaster, the so-called greatest wizard of the century, couldn't stop him. He was drawn to working in these spaces. This year, he would make this castle his. He would find his workspace, gather his tools, and someone was going to bleed out on the stone floor. The thought sent shivers down his spine, lit a fire in his eyes.
He had begun his hunt for a suitable work environment immediately. He had barely placed his things in his room before slipping out of sight to stalk the castle's corridors. He needed a room of privacy, a room of ultimate silence and cooperation. He had not found it this night, and the moon high in the night sky had forced him to abandon his search. But wherever this room was, Amycus was certain he would find it.
The Common Room was unusually full this evening. Ah, he mused with a little smirk, Alecto's doing. His dormmates watched him bitterly, but none said a word as he passed. They knew his blade. They knew his magic. They knew not to defy him. Alecto was an extension of his will, nay, the master of it.
He took the stairs three at a time, moving with the easy grace of good breeding. All of Amycus' movements were like that; graceful, powerful, completely in control. It was as if his very body was terrified to disobey him. He stalked the many steps until he found his dormitory. The quiet was beautiful, the only sound the rushing of the waves of the Black Lake against the windows and the breath, the pulse, of his wombmate.
She claimed his bed, but this was not unusual. Amycus knew where she was without even seeing her, hidden behind his bed curtains. He always knew where Alecto was in a room. He could smell every part of her, taste her coppery scent upon the air. It was a useful skill.
Amycus drew back his bed curtains. She had favored green and silk, the sight of which made his nostrils flare and eyes darken. "I'm sorry I'm late," he remarked in perfect coolness, looking down at her with something indescribable playing about his cruel lips. "Did I keep you waiting long?" Alecto heard her brother enter the room, she could smell his musk in the air, and a smile tickled the edge of her perfect pink lips. As soon as Amycus pulled back the curtain and his eyes fell on her he spoke. “I’m sorry I’m late, did I keep you waiting long?” Alecto sighed and sat up. “Perhaps, but that depends. Did you find what you were looking for?” She queried. Her icy blue eyes stared into his dark ones as she moved closer to him. Silently, she slipped her cold hands under his shirt, feeling his warm skin beneath her fingertips. “Mm, I’ve missed you.” She whispered, pulling up his shirt far enough to plan a kiss on his mid-chest before letting the shirt drop down again. She wasn’t going to undress him just yet, she had to hear about his day first.
Alecto took his hand and tugged slightly, urging him to come onto the bed with her. She craved closeness, ached to feel him close to her. It was as if, having been in a womb together, the two weren’t whole unless they were that close again. Alecto thrived on the energy of her twin, the longer she was kept apart, the less she felt…in control. The scariest Alecto was the one that had gone far too long without the touch of her brother. Sure, she was the one who usually kept him controlled, but even if he didn’t realize it at times, he was her control. He was what kept her sane, and in order to get through the beginning of this school year, she needed another dose.

Notes: Sorry it took a while, and for the poor quality. I realized it's so tempting to control everything (because that's what Alecto does), but I can't make Amycus move, I can't take off his shirt for him, I'm not supposed to as I'm not his controller, haha. Anyway....hopefully it's something to go off of! I'm looking forward to playing them out. :]
