Today, I finally got to go see Wicked for the second time in my life. The first time I saw it was in New York on Broadway. It was absolutely incredible. I had listened to the soundtrack countless times before but that was the first time I'd actually gotten to see the whole story. Simply amazing.
Today, exactly ten months and one day after I saw Wicked the first time, I got to see it again. It was just as amazing, if not more so, as the first time. The actress who played Elphaba in this one has played her more than any other actress to date. I got her autograph afterwards and a picture with her. Also, funnily enough, the same actor that played The Wonderful Wizard of Oz on Broadway when I saw it, played him when I saw it today. I'm also kicking myself because the actor that played Fiyero was standing outside too, and I didn't think it actually was him, I thought it was just a friend of Elphaba's but some deducing from what I heard of their conversation, and reading his bio in the program AFTER we had left, it turned out it was. I totally would have gotten his autograph and a picture with him had I known, but he didn't have a stitch of make-up on or anything to tell that it was him, whereas with Dee (Elphaba) it was obvious because she still had some green sticking to her hair, and a hairnet on.
I'm always incredibly happy when I do anything theatre related, that's where my passion lives, so I just had to say how amazing it is, and that I highly recommend that show if you ever get the chance to see it.
And for any Wicked fans out there....chattt!!
Love, Nichole
