Rule Number One; This is one of the main rules of all role-playing forums: respect the admins. We’re not here to make your life miserable. We created the forum so we can all have fun inside J.K. Rowling’s world. All we ask is that you follow the rules and don’t get snappy with us. We’re both very reasonable people, so if you have any questions please message either of us. It’s also important that you respect your fellow role-players.

Rule Number Two; When signing-up you can register however you want, but when you pick your character please go to your profile and change it to your character’s name in this format; first middle last. Also, please remember the answer is unicorn, it'll help you out later on.

Rule Number Three; Canon Characters. If this is your FIRST character it must be a canon. There are many canon characters to choose from and until all are filled this rule stands. There are several canons that we know nothing about and as such, they are almost the same as an original character. They just come with a pre-determined last name (sometimes also a first), age, and house/affiliation. If this is NOT your first character here, you may still choose to claim a canon character, but if you do so, you may only claim up to two MAJOR canon characters to keep the availability fair for all.

Rule Number Four; Sorting; Canons are pre-sorted. Every original character will be sorted by an admin. You may request a certain house for your character, but if an admin believes they are fit better in a different house, it is their say. We will do our best to fit your preference, however.

Rule Number Five; The Three Strikes Rule. If your application has been denied three times, we ask that you choose a different character to try to work on, as the character you're going for just isn't going to work out. There are always plenty of characters to try, so don't be discouraged, there will always be something better out there if you don't get your first pick.

Rule Number Six; We don't have a word count, hurrah! However, we do ask that you try to keep your posts literate. Full sentences and try to write at least a paragraph. No one likes two sentence responses. Also, the more words in your post, the more points you can earn for your house, to do so remember to post your word count in the notes of your post.

Rule Number Seven; Now Begins The Revolution is rated PG-13 to comply with ProBoards TOS (terms of service). That means no sex scenes and no revealing avatars or signatures. If we see either of these things they will be edited by an administrator. If your RP gets too intense always fade to black.

Rule Number Eight; As stated before graphics should not have inappropriate pictures. Signatures should be no larger than 500x300 px, and avatars should be no more than 100x100 px. All play-by’s must be humans, no anime characters or the sort.

Rule Number Nine; The chat box is not to be used to spam/advertise other boards. You are to be appropriate and kind to everyone using it. We will not put in an in-character chat box. The forum is for role-playing that’s why it’s there.

Rule Number Ten; We're all here to create a fun, magical playing environment for all to enjoy. These rules are to help all of us stay on the same page, and for things to run smoothly. Admins abide by these rules also, and if we don't, feel free to bring it up to us. We recommend re-reading these rules monthly to keep fresh and up to date.

♣ When posting in-character your reply should be in third person. Use proper punctuation and grammar to the best of your ability. No chat speak.

♣ Tattoos; No character under the age of 17 may have a tattoo unless previously approved by an admin. Having a tattoo at a younger age simply does not make sense.

♣ Alcohol & Drugs; No character under the age of 15 should be in contact with alcohol, it’s completely unnecessary for young kids to be getting drunk or smoking, etc.
